The Telegraph UK - Live News App Reviews

Truly horrific change to the user interface. I cant begin to understand what demographic the Telegraph thinks this will appeal to, but it has taken one of my favorite news apps and utterly destroyed it. I simply cannot use this new GUI, and the Telegraph has lost me as a reader.

Interface is terrible. Not sure what they were trying to do here. Immediately uninstalled.

This used to be an awesome app, but now with the latest update, you have to pay to be a subscriber. Deleted. Very disappointed.

Agree with others; recent update was deceptive. Now a total pay service, save for the four top stories, yet much WWW content is still available gratis. Normally its the other way around. Total fail! Will be deleting...

The old app was very good. With the last update it became a pay for news app. Good-bye Telegraph.

Deceptive update description, I agree. I will no longer use. The change in the marketing model for this publication was very badly handled. At least the New York Times uses a hybrid approach that accommodates both casual and regular users. Thats a negative 1 star youre seeing up there. SJR

Not a smart move on The Telegraphs part. With so many free news apps, I sure wont be reading this anymore.

I truly dont understand the updated app. They now expect you to pay for something that is available free on their website. This is their digital strategy?! Someone should be fired.

I too was very disappointed to find that the app has been changed to subscription only. I have lived this app for sometime, but I have now deleted it. Why should I pay for what I can read online? This is poor marketing and poor customer service. Youve changed something that was hugely popular and successful to something worthless. I have deleted the app.

Last 18 one star reviews will tell you this is now a subscription app for the same news you can get for free on their web site

Dont bother: what was once great is now gone.

seems to be getting slower and less stable as time goes on. Very sad, because I like reading the paper on line but the app now takes over 2 minutes to connect over high speed FIOS to iPhone 4 and then takes minutes to update only to disconnect too often during the update!

Like other users. I have noted problems with stability and load times. I deleted the app and re-installed. I then limited the start up to only four sections and only three articles each. This seems to have solved the problems and I just load additional articles and sections as I want to read them. Overall, the app works acceptably now.

You have to pay for it

I use my iPad subscription to log into this app. Content is good but still no iPhone 5 support after all this time!! Shows the media group arent bothered about its customers.
